Future Fortune is a leader in the manufacture and distribution of feed and grain processing hammer mills, with thousands of installations to date. We optimize the performance of our equipment to meet the unique needs of feed processors, and we can produce the most tightly distributed uniform particle size with the least amount of dust.
The hammer mill works on the principle that most materials are broken, crushed or pulverized upon impact. The material typically enters the mill's grinding chamber by gravity through a feed chute, where it is struck by linked hammers attached to a shaft rotating at high speeds within the mill's grinding chamber. Through a combination of repeated hammer impacts, collisions with the walls of the grinding chamber, and particle-to-particle impacts, the material is crushed or broken. A perforated metal screen or bar grid covering the discharge opening of the mill retains the coarse material for further grinding while allowing material of appropriate size to pass through.
We offer an extensive hammer mill range, all hammer mill equipment is available in carbon steel or stainless steel construction and is suitable for a variety of applications including wood shredders, industrial, full circular screen and laboratory scale models. Most models are available with gravity or pneumatic discharge. Custom configurations are available to meet customer's material and production goals.
NOTE: All new hammer mill molds must be adjusted before first use.
NOTE: Material should not be larger than the mold hole size. If your material is larger than the die hole size, the material will need to pass through the hammer mill first.
Future Fortune's hammer mill comes with a standard 6mm die. Other chip sizes range from 3mm to 8mm depending on the model. Other chip sizes up to 12 mm are available on request and can be special ordered.
All additional dies are shipped free with the purchase of a hammer mill.
