Introduction

D-allethrin is used mainly to control flies and mosquitoes, flying and crawing insects, animals, and fleas and ticks on dogs and cats.Its technical product is yellowish to yellow brown transparent viscous liquid.It is also available in form of emulsifiable concentrates and wettable, powders, synergistic formulations used on fruits and vegetables, post-harvest, in storage, and in processing plants.

Chemical property
Clear amber thick liquid. Boiling point 135-138℃ (33.3Pa), relative density (20/20℃) 1.005-1.015, refractive index (nD20) 1.5054. At 30℃, the vapor pressure is 16.0MPa. Soluble in ethanol, carbon tetrachloride and kerosene, slightly soluble in water. It is easy to decompose under alkali and light.

Function and use
1. Pyrethroid insecticides. It's a contact nerve agent that disrupts axon conduction. Acts on insects causing a severe paralyzing effect, tilting and falling until death. Mainly used for house flies and mosquitoes and other health pests, has a strong touch and repellent effect, knockout force is strong. It is used as an effective ingredient in making mosquito-repellent incense, electric mosquito-repellent tablets and aerosol. The production of mosquito-repellent incense in China is to first make allethrin into emulsion. The formula of the emulsion: 90 parts of 90% Ybitian crude oil, adding 10% of Zhongshan emulsifier (8203), 83.7% of the emulsion; It can also be used 92% strong Bina Min 90, plus Zhong Shan emulsifier (8203) to get 82.2% cream; Or 92% strength 87 parts of Binarmin added Zhong Shan emulsifier (8203)6 parts and xylene 7 parts, to match 80% of the cream. Then use one of the above emulsified oils, add water and mosquito-repellent wood powder, and mix to make mosquito lunch. It usually contains 0.1%~0.2% active ingredient. Generally, allethrin is used to make mosquito repellent incense, and the content is 0.4%. Allallethrin products should be kept away from direct sunlight and high temperatures.

Preparation method
1, the preparation of allyl olone: 2-methylfuran as raw materials, by Vickers reaction to prepare 5-methylfurfural, by Grignard reaction (2→3), furfural translocation reaction (3→4) and isomerization reaction (4→5) to prepare allyl olone industrial new method.

2. Grignard reaction adopts continuous process, which is easier to control temperature than intermittent method, magnesium does not need to be activated, and the production device is simple. The furfural translocation reaction uses water as solvent, strictly controls the pH value of the reaction, and the yield can reach 70%; The isomerization of hydroxycyclopentanone is by reaction with aqueous trichloroacetaldehyde, followed by treatment with triethylamine (either in aqueous solution with a base, or by reaction with aluminum).

3, the preparation of rich D-trans-chrysanthemum acid: The corresponding inulinic acid is obtained by hydrolysis of (±) ci-trans-chrysanthemum acid ethyl ester, and then in the presence of conversion catalyst, the reaction is carried out at 120℃ for 2h, transmutation to obtain (±) rich trans-chrysanthemum acid (cis/trans =10/90), and then frozen crystallization at -5℃ to obtain (±) trans-chrysanthemum acid (cis/trans =2/98). Using right-handed resolver, freezing crystallization at -5℃, filtration, washing filtrate with dilute hydrochloric acid, separating water layer, washing oil layer to neutral, decompression distillation to separate (+) -trans-permethrin and (-) -trans-permethrin.

4, synthesis of rich D-trans-allethrin (+) -trans-inulinic acid and acyl chlorination agent (PCl3 or SOCl2) to obtain (+) -trans-inulin chloride. In the presence of pyridine and toluene, allyl olone reacts with (+) -trans-chrysanthemoyl chloride to produce the desired product, in which the content of dextro-trans is more than 80%. (-) inulinic acid is racemized to produce (±) and inulinic acid.

5, ethyl inulinic acid as the starting material, through saponification, acidification, acyl chlorination, and then esterification to obtain: the product is a mixture of eight isomers, the quality index of the original drug is the total isomer content ≥90.0%. Raw material consumption quota: ethyl inulinic acid (95.6%)840kg/t, liquid alkali 630kg/t, phosphorus trichloride 1110kg/t, allolone 550kg/t.
